The 5.7x28mm Barrel and BCG Kit allows you to build an AR in 5.7x28mm using CMMG’s patented Radial Delayed Blowback operating system. Unlike typical direct blowback systems, Radial Delayed Blowback not only reduces the weight in your BCG but it results in less felt recoil than a straight blowback system. CMMG’s 5.7x28mm Barrel and Bolt Kits are designed to work with either a CMMG Mk57 lower receiver or with a standard AR15 lower receiver (when using CMMG 5.7 AR Conversion Magazines).

This kit is outstanding!!! It was easier to build than a normal AR as there are no gas blocks/tubes to install. Just torque the barrel nut to spec. Use the CMMG conversion magazines and a standard AR lower receiver to use with this kit. I built it and tested it today. 100 rounds and no malfunctions. I know it needs more rounds to prove its reliability but there was also hardly ANY felt recoil. The AR pistol stayed put every time I pulled the trigger making accurate follow on shots child’s play. A great pleasure to shoot! The AR platform lends itself very well to the 5.7×28 cartridge.

I wanted to get into building something i didn’t know much about and with how much 5.7 has been floated around in my circles I thought why not give it a spin. So far the construction was solid and it functions flawlessly! outside of that it was quick deliver, just as described, and as always a great price!
